I’m extra excited for today’s post because I’m sharing all the details from my baby shower!! Baby Sapel is so loved and it was such a great day spent with family and girlfriends. I still can’t believe our little boy will be here in just a few short weeks and the shower definitely made it feel more real (especially with all the new baby gear that made its way into our house)!!
Ps. All sources are linked at the bottom of the post.
My mother-in-law hosted the shower but she lives out of town so when we were initially planning on where to have it, it felt natural to do it at our home because we designed the living area with entertaining in mind. I also had a fancier bridal shower so liked the idea of this one being a little more casual. Plus, it was nice to have everyone check out the nursery!
The space was transformed with the help of Confetti Castle who designed the balloon garland and backdrop. Our mantle was the perfect place to grab a quick photo- it fit with the boy theme with a blue ombre-effect garland with mixed in stars and gold balloons. The space over our sideboard in the dining room was a blank canvas for more balloons, streamers and gold stars.
Ryan’s mom made all the main dishes which were absolutely delicious and for dessert we had a fruit & chocolate board from Babe & Butcher and an adorable cake from Suarez Bakery (which gave a hint to his name!). The little footprints and elephants were too precious! There was also a “Mom-osa Bar” set up with prosecco and a mix of fruit juices and berries. FYI I highly recommend the Fre and St. Regis sparkling wines as a non-alcoholic option. It tasted like the real thing!

Talk about a truly stunning baby shower. Can we just take a moment to swoon over the balloon displays? I am madly in love with the addition of the star balloons. So pretty! Also the “Mom-osa” bar is so creative. I love a good mimosa bar, and even had one at my bridal shower, but this is perfect for those who need to avoid alcohol. You looked beautiful, and it seems like it was a spectacular day you’ll remember forever!
