I can’t believe my baby boy is TWO! For Porter’s first birthday we had a “hole in one” party (see the full blog post here). For his second birthday we went with a Cookie Monster theme. Sharing a few fun photos and some party details in today’s post!
The star of the show was definitely the ball pit. I’m so glad I recently discovered Little Hearts Mobile Play, a local company in Charlotte that rent out all kinds of fun entertainment options for kids parties. Since Porter has a February birthday, it’s not ideal to plan something outside so I wanted the kids to have an “activity” during the party and let me tell you… the ball pit was a hit! The kids were in there the whole time, if they weren’t eating snacks or cake. The ball pit came with a slide and we were also able to customize the colors of the balls! I ordered the 6 foot Cookie Monster cutout from Party City and the birthday banner from Etsy.
What would a Cookie Monster themed party be without cookies?! I knew I wanted to get some fun decorated sugar cookies and Sugar Butter Sass knocked it out of the park. Not only were they adorable, but some of the tastiest sugar cookies I’ve ever had! Of course we couldn’t forget chocolate chip, which Ryan’s sister was kind enough to make from scratch.
My neighbor (who isn’t a professional baker but could be) made a delicious cookies & cream cake which all the guests raved about. I added the cutest personalized cake topper from Piper Fox Collective which was made by my sweet friend.
