OCTOBER 2nd
Since we were visiting the construction site about once a week, we thought it was time we check things out inside. The pictures below will be our kitchen/dining area and living room. SO many windows!! I’m so excited for the natural light but window treatments are going to be no easy task.
One part of the house that we’re really looking forward to is the rooftop terrace. We were fortunate enough to get an end unit so we have an unobstructed view of uptown. Lots of grilling, wine drinking and corn hole will take place up here!

At this point windows had been put in and exterior wrapping was on the entire place. Shortly after that we had brick on the first floor.
NOVEMBER 20th
Over the past month, most of the progress has been made inside the house- wiring, plumbing, and ventilation. But when we visited this weekend we were thrilled to see we had interior walls! It is finally starting to look like a home and actually feels a lot bigger than when it was just framing. Here’s a photo of me in our living room and Ryan in our master bedroom!
I know these photos may not be exciting to most but to all my first time home builders… you know how it is! Building your first home is so exciting (and a little stressful, of course) and seeing the walls go up makes us so excited to get in there and start this next chapter of our lives. Now Ryan and I really need to get in gear and start picking out paint colors, furniture, and all the other fun stuff. Last night was spent searching for a dining table and sideboard. And we have a loooong way to go.
I’m so excited that this week officially kicks off the holiday season & can’t wait to get our tree! Hope y’all have a great Monday 🙂

Ah so exciting!! We built a house in Pineville back in 2014 and it was such a fun experience! And crazy watching it go from dirt on the ground to a full house in just a few months! Love your view 🙂

So exciting! It is beautiful already and I am so jealous of all of your windows! We built our first home last year and closed at the end of January this year. Waiting is the worst, I don't miss that. But it is so crazy to think that last year at this time, we were standing in our unfinished house and counting down the days…and in no time, we've already lived there for 8 months! It is hard to be patient, but you'll be in, in no time! Enjoy picking out all of your new stuff, that is the best part 🙂
