One // To excel in the rest of my clinical rotations and get better with my time management between working and studying. I have really enjoyed my rotations so far, but it can be really hard to sit down and focus on studying after working a long day. The biggest goal of all of course is to graduate on December 12th and pass the PANCE (our version of boards). I’ll also keep my fingers crossed for an early job offer… that would be the cherry on top!
Two // To plan our wedding! I have quickly learned that this process takes up a lot of time, but luckily I have most of our big vendors already booked and as each piece comes together, the stress level comes down a bit. Ryan has been such a huge help and I think we can definitely pull this thing off, even without a fancy wedding planner. I cannot wait to go dress shopping, get engagement photos, and simply enjoy this year of being engaged to my best friend!
Three // To grow the blog, of course! It’s crazy to look back and see how my posts have evolved (and I like to think improved) since I first started in the summer of 2013. The blogging world is pretty amazing and I love all of the relationships that have come from it. I want to continue networking and possibly attend a conference!
Four // To stick to my budget. I need to start using Mint more consistently rather than just at the end of the month (when all the money has been spent). Since I’m living on student loans, I can’t really “save” for a wedding (yea, that part sucks), but I can do my best to manage my money and maybe shop a little less. Just a little.
Five // To not get too stressed out! This kind of sums up everything else but being in school, working at a new place every 5 weeks, studying for super hard tests, planning a wedding, and blogging consistently is a lot to have on my plate. It will be hard, but I am going to try my best not to get overwhelmed with everything and make sure that my priorities are in the right order.
I hope all of you had a fun and safe NYE and keep the fun going this weekend! As for me, I head back to Raleigh tomorrow for my next rotation in OB/GYN. My glorious month-long break is officially over and I’m pretty sad that I have to leave my fiancé. However, I’m also very thankful for these past two months that we’ve got to be together and am so glad I get to have several rotations here in Charlotte. Have a great weekend y’all and thanks for reading!
