It’s my turn!! You have probably seen this little post floating around blogland and I thought I would take this opportunity to let y’all know a little more about myself whether you’re a new reader or dedicated follower.. so here goes!

Hey y’all! I’m Kristina and I’m 25 years old and I technically have two locations. My main home is in Charlotte, North Carolina and I have lived in this awesome city for about 7 years. When I’m not in Charlotte, I live with my roommates Sarah & Jeff in Garner, right outside of Raleigh, NC.
Relationships
I have the most amazing boyfriend, Ryan, and we have been dating for 2.5 blissful years. We actually met in a bar (it can happen, ladies) and the rest is history. We live together in uptown Charlotte and love being close to everything the city has to offer. He’s my partner in crime and life is just more fun with him by my side 🙂
Work
Well… I currently work, but don’t get paid. I’m in Physician Assistant school at Campbell University and just started my 2nd year (whoop whoop)! I have 12 five-week rotations in different specialties that will go through next winter and then I graduate on December 12th, 2015. Mark your calendars! I just started my first rotation at an urgent care so lately I’ve been seeing all sorts of things including sports physicals, strep throat, ear infections, sprains/strains, and lots of rashes. Fun stuff!
Hobbies
Painting my nails, duh!! Other than that, I absolutely love to travel. I don’t get to do it as much as I would like because of school, but exploring new places is my favorite thing ever. I also love taking pictures, as you can probably tell, and have been scrapbooking since I was in the 8th grade. A few years ago I made the transition from giant scrapbooks to photo books and will never turn back. I use Picaboo for all of my books and love knowing that I will always have these memories to enjoy throughout the years.
Favorite Food
Sushi. Hands down. But honestly, I don’t discriminate and will try anything you put in front of me. This girl loves to eat! But back to the sushi, I love anything with lots of fresh fish or aioli sauce. Lots of ginger, hold the wasabi.
Standard Bar Order
Hmmm, I would have to say either Prosecco because I love bubbly or a fruity mojito of some sorts. If we’re talking beer, definitely Blue Moon. I tried to be fancy and order a dirty martini once. Bleh.
Places I Shop
No trip to the mall is complete without stopping at J.Crew and the factory store is just as good, if not better. I also love to shop online at Nordstrom, Piperlime, and BaubleBar because they always have free shipping & returns. I always make sure to pop into local boutiques. Some of my favorites are Bevello, Petal, and Page 6.
Bedtime & Wake Up Time
Eeek. These days morning comes pretty early. When I work, I get up at 6:20, get to work by 8, and work a 12 hour shift. I usually go to sleep by 11ish. I do get several days off thought and can sleep in as long as I want. However, this will vary with each of my rotations and with me having ER next, there might be some overnight shifts. Ahhh!
What I Blog About
I would say a little bit of everything. Mostly I love to share fun new outfits and jewelry that I crave, talk about my weekend happenings, recap my travels, and give a little glimpse into life in PA school.

How I Started Blogging
A girl I knew started a blog to document her time in PA school and I absolutely loved reading it to see what her class was doing. Last summer, I decided I would give it a shot and that’s when Medicine & Manicures was born. I’m studying medicine and have a slight obsession with nail polish so that’s how I came up with the name. I would consider myself a creative person so I loved getting the chance to recap my friends & family on what was going on in school. Over time, I realized that I didn’t just want to blog about medical things, but lifestyle in general and I am so thankful for how my blog has grown. I absolutely love talking to bloggers and love this little community that we’re a part of!
