Whew! This weekend was a crazy one for sure- I am exhausted and so not ready for this Monday but the show must go on! Linking up with Biana and Meghan for today’s weekending.

Second of all, I’m happy to say that I passed ACLS- thank God that’s over! This class is kind of like CPR on steroids. Basically 5 of us would run a “mega code” where we would have to assess a patient, assess their heart rhythm, and try to get it back to normal. When the patient would crash and go into bad rhythms (like V. fib), then we would need to know what meds to administer and when to shock (defibrillate) them. Note: I just learned that the paddles (the things they rub together before they say “clear” and shock you) are now obsolete! Now we use sticky pads which are apparently safer, but Grey’s sure made the pads look pretty cool!
Third of all, moving sucks! However, I am so thrilled to be close to civilization again… Target is a mere 5 minutes away. Heaven!! I’ll be commuting to school until the end of July so operation packed lunch has commenced. Tips are welcome, please help a girl out! I have always gone home for lunch so this will be a big adjustment for me. What are some easy things to cook and pack for the week?
Pardon the short post but I have another pediatrics test to study for- it was kind of put on the back burner this weekend… Whoops! Congrats on passing the ACLS and moving!! I think being that close to target means you are not only close to civilization but need to make sure your wallet understands it can't go bananas when it sees the red sign haha!! Thanks for linking up and happy Monday!
Ahhh you're so close to clinicals! Congrats on ACLS, that was super stressful for me too. My go-to packed lunch was a good and hearty soup, like cheesy potato or chunky chicken, made Sunday night. Pour it into little tupperware bowls and stack them in the fridge. It was easy to make and stayed good until the end of the week. Another great option is mason jar salads with the dressing at the bottom, meat above it, then layers with extras and the spinach or lettuce at the very top. Shake and dump onto a paper plate and that's it! The girls at the Family Practice office I went to had been doing this for months. The salad stays fresh in a glass mason jar for up to 6 days.

Buy a rotisserie (spelling?) chicken and make salads the night before and take the dressing with you… one chicken should last 3-4 days… get back to Charlotte ASAP!
Congrats on passing the ACLS! That's awesome! Moving sucks but it's always fun to be in a new place! And being close to Target is ALWAYS a good thing!

with my new job i've discovered all kinds of ways to bring lunch. most times we eat pretty healthy, so i will make enough for my lunch the next day with dinner the night before. or grill boneless skinless chicken ahead of time and make with a salad or side of veggies. you save tons of money too!
Ooooh moving! We'll be joining on that moving train soon! Eeeeek! But bring on the fun decorating!

Congrats on passing ACLS & good luck on that peds test! ACLS sounds so awesome but I know it was hard, cardiac rhythms can be SO complicated! Moving is also an accomplishment in itself… too much work!
