Happy Monday! I’m excited to be back with another ‘home tour’ post and today I’m sharing one of the best parts of our house and where we like to spend many summer nights… our rooftop terrace! Ps. All sources are listed at the bottom.
When we first found out about this townhome project, we were thrilled to have some outdoor space. Ryan & I weren’t quite ready for a single-family home with all the yard work and maintenance so this townhouse was the perfect next step after living in a 1-bedroom condo. The terrace sweetened the deal and we knew it would be the perfect place to have a glass of wine or entertain friends (although lately we’ve only been able to go out after sunset due to the sweltering heat here in Charlotte). We love the unobstructed views of uptown and this space has been so much fun to decorate!
It took a few months after moving in, but we finally got the decorating process going after we ordered this sectional couch. It’s super comfy and came with a storage coffee table which was a plus. We got a lot of the accessories from Target- the pillows, umbrella, and rug. The rug may actually be my favorite piece as I love the pattern and it was super affordable (and on major sale right now). Ryan got these Charlotte Hornets cornhole boards from Wayfair and the real finishing touch was hanging the string lights!! I would like to add some more plants up here but y’all, I’m having the hardest time taking care of these. Beetles keep eating the smaller plant (even though I’ve been using insecticide) and I just don’t know if the palm can take all that sun. Still working on my green thumb!
We absolutely love what this space has turned into, but of course want to add some things in the future. They pre-wired for a TV so we may add one next year and I’d also like to get a small bistro table, so we can have more people over for dinner al fresco. Ryan also got a little putting green and that mini basketball hoop is part of a game that he made up (he’s all about the entertainment!).
