Did everyone have a great weekend? How lucky are we that we had both Cinco de Mayo AND the Kentucky Derby to celebrate? It’s a day late because I was having some computer issues yesterday, but I thought it would be fun to share a little weekend recap of our time in Atlanta including some outfit details. 🙂
Ryan & I made our way to Georgia on Friday afternoon to spend the weekend with our friends. We first stopped in Duluth, a city just outside of Atlanta to stay with our friends Wade & Caitlyn. We went to their food truck Friday and then had some drinks on a patio, the weather couldn’t have been more perfect! And they also introduced us to the Jackbox Party Pack- it’s a game app you can download on gaming systems or Apple TV and you can play all the games on your phone with up to 8 people. Have any of y’all played? My favorite one was Drawful. SO. Much. Fun.

On Saturday, I spent the day with my friend Lindsay while the guys golfed. She wanted to take me to The Shops Buckhead since I’d never been and we were in for a treat when we arrived as they had Cinco de Mayo/Kentucky Derby celebrations going on. They were giving out free flower bouquets (um…yes!), funnel cake, margaritas/mint juleps, cotton candy, and more. There was live music and it was nice to walk around and pop into some shops. That afternoon we went to a friends house party then met up with the guys at Chido & Padre’s for some Mexican food and all the margaritas.

Sunday morning we got up and had brunch at one of my favorite spots in Atlanta, West Egg Café. They have THE most amazing pimento cheese grits and sugar glazed bacon. There’s usually a decent wait (we waited about 45 minutes) but trust me when I say it’s worth it! After that Ryan & I popped over to the Restoration Hardware Store just to window shop- we don’t need any furniture but had to check out the 6-story store, it was beautiful! Before heading back on the road, we stopped by Piedmont Park to say bye to Lindsay and her doodle, Clover. Until next time!
