I have been working out like a mad woman lately because hello… I’m getting married! Of course I want to be fit and toned for my wedding- there’s a dress, tons of photos, and all eyes will be on Ryan & I. However, health and fitness are an important part of my daily lifestyle that goes way beyond the wedding. It’s always good to have extra motivation, though! For a normal workout, I usually run outside through uptown Charlotte, do some circuit training in our gym, or occasionally take a strength class at the YMCA. Last month, I decided to switch things up and go out of my comfort zone. I signed up for ClassPass.
For all my readers that have yet to discover this, ClassPass is a monthly service (no contract) that gives you access to a wide variety of workouts and fitness studios in your area. The rate varies per city ($80 here in Charlotte) and it gives you access to a ton of studios up to 4 times per month. Some popular studios that are part of ClassPass include Pure Barre, FlyWheel, CrossFit, yoga, pilates, boxing, and yes… even pole dancing.
If you’ve always wanted to try popular classes like barre or cycling, this is a great way to do it because some of those classes can be up to $25 per session… yikes! I think ClassPass is the way to go if you’re looking to find a new favorite studio or if you just like variety in your fitness routine. I wanted to share my experience with you guys so let’s jump into some of the pros and cons!
Plenty of variety
There’s an app
CONS:
Odd class times
Number of spots in a class
3-4 classes per month
And as always, a cute new outfit is bound to get you in the workout mood… am I right? I’ve been wearing the heck out of these Zella crops lately- they’re super comfy and I love the mesh panels. They come in a few other patterns and don’t break the bank which is a win in my book.
I hope y’all enjoyed this little spiel and found it informative. I’m a huge fan of ClassPass because I love switching up my workout routines regularly and don’t want to pay the high membership rates of some studios. If you like going to the same studio every day and sticking to what you know, then this might not be the best option for you. But what’s the hurt in trying? For all you awesome readers that made it to the bottom of this post, you can click here to get $20 off your first month! And if you’ve already tried ClassPass, I’d love to hear about your experiences and favorite studios- I’m always looking to try more!

ClassPass was really great when I tried it…but I didn't have enough studios near my work to justify the cost…and now I have a gym in my building so I really can't justify it, but I miss being able to test out so many great studios!! Such a great review! xo, Biana –BlovedBoston

Love this post! I did ClassPass for a month last year and thought it was SUCH a great thing. Once it gets closer to my wedding date, I'll most likely sign up again! Miss it.

I LOVE classpass. Another pro is that you can use it in other cities for no charge. So when I travel, I just switch my app over to another city and keep taking classes!

Classpass was pretty popular in Philly when it first launched, but a lot of studios started restricting times most of their time slots so almost everyone I know had stopped using it 🙁 It's such a great concept though!

I wish there was a Class Pass here in St Pete- sounds like a great way to add variety (which I love!) Is it limited to 4 classes a month with the pass? Or is it unlimited?

Hey, I've been following your blog for a little while (hopefule PA)
I live in Charlotte too, if you're still looing for a yoga studio theres one called Charlotte Yoga that is AMAZING. I absolutely love it and go every other day. They have Karma classes that are great for beginners (like $7) and they have classes every hour from like 7am to 8pm. If you ever get the chance to try it out I think you'd like it 🙂
