What a weekend!! The past few days were a blast while also quite exhausting so yesterday’s lazy day on the couch was much needed. I attended my first blog conference in Charleston, SC with The Blog Societies and it was absolutely amazing!! I truly learned so much and feel so inspired to keep growing this little blog of mine. I also had to cut my trip just a bit short to drive back to Charlotte on Saturday afternoon to make it in time for a 6 o’clock wedding. Told you… exhausting!

For the #TBScon welcome party with Vera Bradley, I decided to wear this black front-tie midi dress from Asos. If you’ve never shopped there, you know you can always find on-trend items in a wide variety of price points (I usually search $100 and under). I love the front tie, cutout and mesh detail not to mention the comfy factor. Not to mention, it’s under $60 so I can’t hate that! I’ve been loving the midi trend lately but do note I had to hem this dress because I’m a shorty 🙂
I kept it neutral with my lace-up block heels (so comfy) and cork clutch and just added pops of color with my jewelry. It definitely kept me cool in that Charleston heat… And humidity!
So speaking of our couch TV sesh yesterday, have y’all watched Stranger Things?! I feel like everyone is talking about it but in case you haven’t heard, it’s a Netflix original series with a mix of sci-fi and suspense. I’m totally hooked! And of course we watched the Olympics- the women’s gymnastics team killed it in the first round and the bike road race was tough to watch as USA came in 4th after having the lead for most of the way.
