Denim + Stripes


Hey y’all! I’m coming to you live from Naples, FL as the hubs and I finish up our little weekend getaway. I had this weekend off and since my weekends are Saturday-Monday, we will be enjoying the gorgeous Florida weather until we head home later this evening. Don’t you just hate when vacations come to an end?! Today I’m sharing a causal denim jacket and striped dress that are perfect for spring (and are both currently on sale!).

So, can we just talk about the fact that this is my first denim jacket since… high school!! They have definitely made a comeback and are prefect for those cool spring and fall days when you need a light extra layer. Last October when I was working the Atlanta Apparel Market, I helped in my friend Lindsay’s showroom selling KUT from the Kloth’s spring line and that’s when I fell in love with this jacket. KUT is known for their denim and this jacket comes in a ton of washes, from acid wash to black. What I love most about it is how soft it is, none of that stiff business. If you’re on the hunt for a denim jacket, I found it here for under $60!!!

I also have to let y’all know that this striped dress is on major sale right now (only $61). I wish I had some pictures of it without the jacket, but it has 3/4 sleeves with contrasting stripes and is so incredibly soft and flattering. You’ll definitely be seeing it again on the blog because it’s one of those pieces that will be on repeat all season long. Ps. I didn’t realize how pale my legs were until I saw these photos… yikes!! I got a spray tan before coming to Florida and I definitely felt like a new woman!

    This outfit is so perfect for the weather that we’re having right now! I’m also a fan of anything with stripes and jean jackets are so cute pared with a dress. Enjoy the rest of your long weekend down in Florida!

    Love this outfit and love Naples!!! Such a great place. My uncle and aunt live in Marco Island so we’ve always visited that area a lot over the years. I’m with you girl– I have this amazing jean jacket I bought at the Gap Factory Outlet in 8TH GRADE and I still wear it all the time lol!! Jean jackets are classic, that’s why they’re totally worth the splurge. I have one from the J.Crew Factory store that is PERFECT! (I’ve had it for like 5 years now!)

    I have been on the hunt for a good denim jacket! I bought a denim vest last summer at..wait for it..the kid’s section of Target! It’s the perfect length for dresses, but sadly…that just won’t work for a full jacket LOL!
