Here we are, first post of the year! 2019 has gotten off to a great start, yesterday we took a day trip to ski and tomorrow we’re going to the Justin Timberlake concert!!!! I can’t put enough exclamation marks for that one- we saw him a few years ago and it was THE best concert ever. January & February are pretty “blah” months in my opinion so scheduling a few fun activities is key to get through the rest of winter!
Today I’m sharing an easy outfit for winter which includes two pieces I’m loving right now- Spanx leggings and the cutest faux fur bag that’s on-trend and super affordable!
When it’s cold out, there’s nothing I love more than throwing on a chunky sweater and leggings. It may have taken me a few years, but I finally got on the Spanx leggings train! They really do suck everything in and are super flattering, but also comfortable. It did take me a few tries to get the right size though- I was thrilled when they came out with petite sizing for us short girls but the smalls were a little too restricting so I sized up to a medium petite.
Now, let’s take a moment to talk about THE cutest little handbag!! If you’re like me and am obsessed with faux fur everything, then you need this bag in your life. It was a Christmas gift from Ryan’s mom (thanks, Sue!) and I have already carried it so many times since receiving it. The faux fur and tortoise combo is everything and it’s under $50! Oh, and the strap is long enough that you can carry it on your shoulder if needed. If you’re in the market for something a little bigger, it also comes in a tote version with square tortoise handles… equally as cute!
