Happy Humpday!! Now that spring has officially sprung, we can finally put away those sweaters and boots and whip out the flowy tops and sandals. It was 80 degrees here in Charlotte yesterday and it was GLORIOUS!! Today, I wanted to share what I wore to night one of Charleston Fashion Week featuring the prettiest floral bell sleeve top that needs to make its way into your closet ASAP!
Floral bell sleeve top (only $55) // DL1961 jeans // Marc Fisher ‘Adalyn’ espadrilles // Kate Spade sunnies
Rebecca Minkoff ‘Mini MAC’ crossbody // Sheila Fajl hoops, c/o
I scooped up this top before fashion week because I was all like “Ahhhh! I need something to wear” and the cold weather made my sundress dreams come to an end. We all know the bell sleeve is everything right now and I adore all the details in this top. The scalloped edge on the sleeves, the pretty floral print, the sassy cutout. I can’t wait to style it with some cutoff shorts in the summer. It’s definitely a roomy/flowier top but still very flattering at the same time. It falls in all the right places and doesn’t feel boxy at all. I’m wearing an XS and it runs true to size. It keeps going in and out of stock so keep your eyes peeled for this one! Ps. I’ve compiled some of my favorite floral tops under $100 at the bottom of the post 🙂
To stay true to the 70’s vibe that I was channeling here, I paired the florals with my brushed gold hoops from Sheila Fajl (so lightweight) and my espadrilles from Marc Fisher. I can’t say enough good things about these shoes!
Today is a big day at #hotelsapel (yes, that’s our home’s hashtag) because we are getting our shades installed!!! If you recall from my previous posts you know how many windows we have and no window treatments = no sleeping in. Natural light was a must when we were looking at new homes and trust me, there’s no shortage around here. But let me tell you, those blackout shades will be so welcomed in our master bedroom. We’ve had butcher paper taped to the windows for a few weeks (so everyone wouldn’t be able to see in), but we are so ready to have our shades and get one step closer to getting this place decorated. Check back on Friday for another home update post!
