Happy Monday, y’all! I recently attended our third and final wedding of the year and we had the best time celebrating the marriage of two of our best friends. Today I’m sharing some of my favorite formal gowns for any upcoming winter wedding or holiday event including this gorgeous navy number!
It’s no secret that I love to get dressed up and I jumped at the chance to wear this navy gown again- it’s so nice I wore it twice!! I originally needed something to wear to the Charlotte Hornets gala (where I actually wore it with tennis shoes!) but also had this wedding coming up so I was looking for a dress to do some double duty. As soon as I spotted this Dress the Population gown, I knew it would fit the bill. It was fancy but not too fancy and is something that could definitely be worn again. Plus, it hugs the curves in ALL the right places and comes in 5 other colors!
I was debating on renting vs. buying a dress and honestly this is the first long gown I’ve bought since my sorority formal days. I love Rent the Runway but sometimes it can be challenging to find a dress style that I like in a short length since I’m petite (or as Ryan likes to call it, “fun-sized”). I decided to invest in this dress because the color and style are classic and could work for multiple events.
