I can’t believe that one my besties is officially married!! This weekend was super busy but super fun… I forgot how much goes into the wedding day. Katie made the most beautiful bride and I am so glad that I got to share this important day with her and Matt. Now, let’s get on with the wedding recap!
Katie’s bridal luncheon was at Nolen Kitchen– their zucchini chips are a must every time we go there. We sipped on bubbly and chatted about wedding festivities and Katie gave us our super cute gifts. I loved the totes- especially because this is the first item I have with my new monogram!! Eeek!
The rehearsal dinner was at Olde Mecklenburg Brewery, one of the best breweries in Charlotte. I had never been there, but will definitely be back. The brewery is huge and the outside area is gorgeous! Katie’s brother and sister have a food truck (Auto Burger and Fry Guys) which served us some yummy burgers called “The Matt” and “The Katie” which was a nice personal touch. After dinner, the bride and bridesmaids headed to The Westin for a little slumber party complete with bubbly and sweet treats.
We woke up Saturday to the most beautiful weather and the perfect day for a wedding. We spent the morning getting beautified and then it was time for pictures uptown. The ceremony and reception were held at Byron’s South End and let’s just say.. my feet are still sore from tearing up the dance floor! Katie and Matt left on a pedi cab and we met them at their favorite bar, Connolly’s, after the wedding. We ended the night with some late-night pizza at Fuel just like in the old days. I had such a great weekend with my besties and cannot wait to do it all again next year!!
