Holiday Gift Guide: Tech Obsessed

Oh hey, Friday! I’m back and at it with another holiday gift guide and this may be my favorite yet! I’m all about the latest technology and love any product that can make my life easier. This list for the technology-lover contains just that (my favorites are #11 and #12).  Let’s take a peek, shall we?!

1. IROBOT ROOMBA VACUUM | If you’re like me and don’t want to work harder (but smarter!) get a Roomba. We ordered one with some wedding gift cards and absolutely love it! You can program it to clean while you’re away and it’s a great way to maintain clean floors.
2. SHUTTR SELFIE REMOTE | If you want to get the perfect group selfie but hate selfie sticks, get this selfie remote! It’s controlled by bluetooth and works for both photos and videos.
3. APPLE WATCH & STRAPS | Ryan got me an Apple watch as my wedding gift and I love it. I know I still don’t use it to its full capability (need to watch some tutorials) but I love how everything is connected and it’s especially great for work. A new leather strap is on my list!
4. BLUETOOTH HEADPHONES | And speaking of the Apple watch, it’s so nice to go for a run without my phone in my hand or on a bulky case on my arm. I just upload my music to my phone and pair it with Ryan’s bluetooth headphones and I’m hands free! The Beats have great sound quality as well.
5. PHONE CASE FOR HIM | Because guys need to protect their phones too. Love the stripes on this one.
6. PHONE CASE FOR HER | Because girls love phone cases… and wine!
7. AMAZON ECHO DOT | The smaller (and cheaper) Alexa. This nifty little device is great for those who want their home to be hands free. This can control music, alarms, google things, control smart home devices and even order things from Amazon simply with your voice command.
8. APPLE TV | Whether you’re cutting the cord to cable or just want a fun new way to stream shows, Apple TV is the way to go. We recently upgraded to the new version and it’s awesome. My favorite feature is that it has Siri- all you have to do is say “Grey’s Anatomy” or “rewind 30 seconds” and it does the work for you!
9. GOPRO HERO 5 | Okay so… I kind of want this one! This would be great for the adventurous, traveling types. The new version is waterproof without at case and is also voice-enabled. How cool is that?!
10. DRONE | I think these will be a popular item for the guys who love the latest & greatest gadgets. They look pretty fun to fly plus the ones with cameras can get some awesome aerial shots. Some of our wedding video footage was taken with a drone!
11. RING VIDEO DOORBELL | We are getting one of these for our new house and I CANNOT wait to use it! This doorbell has a camera and connects to an app on your phone so you can see who’s at your door from any room in the house AND you can even talk through it. So cool!!
12. HUE LED LIGHT SYSTEM | This set from Phillips includes LED light bulbs that are controlled by an app on your phone (or Alexa/Dot) and also can change to any color. We have these in our condo and they’re so convenient and just make life easier. For example, we have them set to turn on once we get a certain distance from our home, so it’s not pitch black when we open the door. It’s also a good security feature when you’re on vacation because you can turn the lights on so people don’t know when you’re away. Genius!


Has anyone else started getting their Black Friday packages in?? SO. MANY. BOXES. I know what I’ll be doing this weekend… lots & lots of wrapping!     Ok so we've been looking at all the different light systems, too but I hadn't heard of this Hue one yet. We still have the old school timers that you can only set to one time and it's the worst when the lights come on in the house at 6am on Saturday because we forgot to turn the timer off. This Hue one sounds like a much better deal!

    Such neat items! I love tech stuff and especially for guys it's the best go to because there is always a latest and greatest thing out there! That selfie remote is going on my wish list along with that wine iPhone case, so cute!
