One of the things I was most looking forward to after moving into our townhome was decorating for the holidays. Back in our one bedroom condo, we would decorate our tree but there just wasn’t much room for anything else. Today I’m super excited to share some of our holiday home decor with y’all!
We switched things up this year and got our first flocked tree (yay!!). I really wanted a flocked tree but didn’t want it to be completely white so I got it “lightly flocked” and love how it turned out. I will say they’re messy at first but it’s definitely worth it. She’s a beaut! Ryan & I collect ornaments from places we go and I’ve shared some of my favorite below, including when we got engaged at the Grove Park Inn and a handmade ornament of Rainbow Row from a local artist in Charleston. And of course I had to order one to commemorate our first home together!
We dressed up our kitchen area with some mercury glass trees and hung mini wreaths on our counter stools. I found these at Michael’s and attached them with clear fishing line but they would also look super cute with ribbon. May have to do that next year!
We strung garland and twinkle lights on our railing and hung our new matching faux fur stockings. This is the one time of year when I really wish we had a fireplace, but I really do love how this turned out! I also picked up a few festive pillows from Home Goods and this cute berry & pine arrangement from Target.
Did I go a little overboard this year? Maybe. But decorating for the holidays has been just as fun as I thought it would be! We’ll also be hosting Christmas dinner so I cannot wait for that and stay tuned for another home decor post this week- I’ll be sharing our Christmas tablescape!
