Let’s Get Married!!

Hi friends and happy Friday!! This is the happiest of Fridays because as of tomorrow, I’ll be a married woman. Yes… TOMORROW!! I’m still trying to process this over here. How did our year-and-a-half engagement go by so quickly? I still remember everything about the night we got engaged like it was yesterday.

You may be tired of wedding posts but let’s be honest, planning has taken up a big chunk of my life these past few months. Being the type-A person that I am, I felt better doing most of the wedding tasks myself but don’t worry, I still asked for help when needed. Shoutout to my MOH for stuffing all of our welcome bags and assembling the escort cards! I put lots of time and thought into the details of our wedding and I can’t wait to share them with you very soon. With that came some extra work and added stress- but I know it will all be worth it in the end! Besides, I’m a pretty creative person so I really did enjoy putting my personal touches on the big day.

But what I’m really excited about is marriage.

My main goal for the wedding is to truly celebrate with my new husband. Yes, I’m excited for the flowers, the cake, the awesome dance party that will be happening… But that’s not the point of the wedding. The point is to become Ryan’s wife and promise to spend forever with him. I’m also super excited about having all of our favorite people in the same room- I mean, how often does that happen?! That’s why weddings are so wonderful. Everyone is just… Happy!

So now if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got some celebrating to do!! Today is jam-packed with pre-wedding events including a bridal luncheon, rehearsal dinner & welcome party. Tomorrow I say “I do” to my best friend then it’s off to St. Lucia for a week of some serious R&R. I will be sharing lots more about the wedding process very soon and I just want to thank all my readers out there for continuing to read and support Medicine & Manicures. Cheers!!
