Mustard Dress for Fall

We are over halfway through September and even though Monday was the first day of fall (yay!), the fall weather is taking a while to creep into Charlotte. Everyone seems to be posting pumpkins and chunky sweaters, but I just can’t yet!! Instead, I’m sharing a versatile dress that you can wear and transition perfectly into cooler weather.

Dresses are my jam right now but honestly, I haven’t really been into shopping. I’m pretty much wearing the same things on heavy rotation and maybe next month I’ll start looking into some maternity outfits, but for now we’re sticking with non-maternity but “bump friendly.” I spotted this mustard dress at Madewell a few weeks ago and instantly was drawn to the texture (it’s currently on sale for $60!). It’s made of a knit material and screams fall, even though it has short sleeves. I find this specific line of their clothing (Texture & Thread) runs pretty small so I would recommend to size up one size.

I also recently go these fun statement earrings in the mail from Kendra Scott’s new fall collection. They are actually way lighter than they look and I love the rose gold finish and the metal fringe style. I look forward to seeing her new collections every season and it’s a jewelry brand that is consistently my go-to for both statement and everyday pieces.

Things have been so busy lately which is why I haven’t been as consistent on here and social media. Not only am I researching things for the new house (we close in a month!!) but now Ryan & I are researching all things nursery and baby gear. I haven’t even decorated our home for fall because we have to keep it show ready so I’m sure this season is going to fly by but for all of this I’m thankful… especially to get it all done before baby gets here 🙂
