A few weeks ago our family made the trip down to Florida for Porter’s first beach trip. My in-laws have a condo in Naples and we love visiting and knew it would be the perfect place for Porter to experience the sand and sea. This was Porter’s first flight and while we were very cautions with the pandemic going on, we also needed a change of scenery and were excited to experience this with him and also see our family. I always hear it’s easier to fly with babies when they’re young and Porter did SO great on the plane!
Our weekend was pretty low key which I loved! We walked out onto the beach the first day we got there to take some family beach photos and dip Porter’s toes in the water for the first time! The next two days were perfect beach days and we were thrilled that our little guy loved the water! He loved to splash and play and wasn’t scared when little waves would crash into him. It was funny- when we’d bring him back to the towel to snack he would start fussing but as soon as he was back in the water he was fine!
I took way too many photos per usual but it’s been so fun to document every one of Porter’s “firsts.” We were so thankful to Ryan’s parents for watching and helping take care of P so we could get in some extra beach time and relaxation. One night we went out to dinner at Campiello, one of the best Italian restaurants in Naples. Highly recommend their patio, it’s the cutest! The next night we met up with our neighbors who also have family in Naples and just got married down there! Overall we had such a great weekend and I’m already counting down until our next trip.
