… I get to marry the love of my life!
That’s right y’all, we’re officially at the one year mark from our wedding #sapelebration (yes, that is our amazing hashtag) and I’m just as excited as can be!! Ryan is my other half, my partner in crime, and I feel like the luckiest girl in the world because I get to call him my hubby in just 365 days. A year seems like a really long time, but I’m sure it will fly by! We decided to have a longer engagement because I didn’t want to get married in PA school and wanted to get graduation out of the way so I could fully enjoy everything (December 12th y’all!). Wedding planning over the last few months has been going pretty well, a bit stressful at times but that’s to be expected right? I feel like I’ve accomplished so much in the past few months that we’ve been engaged but we still have a long way to go.
Here’s what’s gone down so far for the Hendley-Sapel wedding!

Picked a venue
Booked a photographer
Hired hair & makeup
Went to the bridal showcase, left with $1000 toward flowers (woooo!)
Booked our ceremony musicians and DJ
We have an officiant
Hired a caterer
I said yes to the dress!
Officially booked a videographer (that’s right y’all- pretty ecstatic about this one!)
What I’ll be working on in the next few months:
Deciding on bridesmaid dresses (see how I asked my girls here)
Looking at cakes/dessert
Figuring out linens
Where to have the rehearsal dinner
Hopefully hiring a month-of coordinator
Engagement photos (can’t wait!!)
Save the dates, invites, and all the fun paper goods
And much, much more…

Girl one year is going to fly by! We are having a 16 month engagement and we are 6 months away and it has flown by!! The cake tasting and the linens were my favorite appointments!!
