Our Wedding: Bride & Groom Portraits

For today’s wedding Wednesday, I’m sharing some of my very favorite photos- the bride & groom portraits. I know it’s a lot of pictures of me and the hubs, but I truly just love them all and deciding which ones we’re going to hang up in our home is going to be quite the difficult task! I will forever cherish these photos of Ryan & I on the happiest day of our lives and I feel so lucky to call him my husband.


We wanted to have our first look in a park uptown but also wanted to get a lot of photos at our venue. With the art gallery, vertical garden and rooftop overlooking the city, there were so many gorgeous locations to snap some photos. Yet another reason to have a first look- you have so much more time for your portraits and I have to say, our photographer Lori hit it out of the park!

The bottom floor of our venue is an art gallery and houses the infamous cat painting. Pretty much everyone that gets married there takes a photo with the cat and event though we aren’t can’t people (at all) we did it for our photographer and I actually love how it turned out!




We had such amazing weather on our wedding day, but it was so bright out during our little photo session so we didn’t get as many photos by the vertical wall. But like I said, there were so many great spots and I love the “city feel” of these shots. Oh and let’s talk about the wind… It felt like my veil was going to fly right out of my hair but it made for some beautiful photos!


This also reminds me, we really need to start picking our favorite photos for our album which I’m sure isn’t an easy feat. I did recently hear from our videographer and our trailer should be done within a week or so and I cannot wait to relive the day all over again!

    Your pictures are absolutely beautiful!! I know I keep saying that but y'all got some seriously gorgeous shots. One thing we didn't get many of? Bride & groom pictures… mainly because it was 100+ outside and we were anxious to get to our reception. So… a little envious that you have so many wonderful ones!

    So beautiful! Love your veil. It's so dramatic and pretty. I would have trouble choosing which ones to put in the house too, they're all winners! That cat portrait is so big. That's so funny that everyone takes their pictures with it. So excited for your video.

    Oh so beautiful!! I do not envy your choices girl, all of these are simply beautiful! That one in b/w with the veil around Ryan is so pretty! How great that you guys had so many fun choices when it came to where to take the photos!
