Our Wedding Day: Wedding Party

Another day, another set of wedding photos!! Today I have to brag on our wedding party a little bit. My main objective on our wedding day – other than marrying the love of my life – was to just have FUN! I may be biased, but I have to say we had a pretty awesome wedding party. They were there for us from helping at the rehearsal dinner to keeping the dance floor full all night long… and everything in between. Spending the weekend with 10 of our favorite people was the very best and we were honored to have them stand beside us as we said our vows. Now, enough with the mushy stuff and let’s get on to the photos!

I come from a small family and have a half brother who is 12 years younger than me. I didn’t grow up with any sisters but over the years, my bridesmaids have become like my sisters. Our wedding day would not have been complete with these girls and I am so thankful for them. Whether it was planning a beautiful bridal shower, helping me pick out wedding invitations, or trying on 15 bridesmaid dresses so I could find “the perfect shade of mint,” they were there to keep me sane through the planning period. Or at least attempt to!

I cannot speak for Ryan, but I’d say he had a pretty good group of guys standing with him as well. Only one of his groomsmen actually lives in Charlotte (and literally right next door to us) so it was great to get all the guys together and they truly made the night so much fun… stay tuned for the dancing photos! I really like one of the gifts that Ryan got them as well. He decided to wear his late grandfather’s cuff links and got each of his groomsmen a pair of customized cufflinks to wear with their tux.

My personal favorite was probably this little basketball hoop. How cute is that?!!

An extra thank you to the maid-of-honor and best man for helping us with all things wedding related and giving some killer toasts at the reception… and just for being great friends in general. We love you guys!

Foundation for the Carolinas wedding

We took these photos in and around our wedding venue, Foundation for the Carolinas. It is located in the heart of uptown Charlotte and only a block away from the condo where Ryan & I live. We love the city so it was only fitting that we capture some fun shots around the place where we met, had our first date, and made our first home!

“Turns out not where but who you’re with that really matters.” This quote is from a Dave Matthews song (no clue how it goes) and I think it was on one of my old sorority t-shirts. But it stuck with me. People make all the difference and I’m so happy that Ryan & I got to share the biggest day of our lives with this crazy crew!
