Merry Chistmas Eve Eve!!! Over break I have had lots of time with friends & family and it has been wonderful. Last weekend Ryan’s family came into town for Christmas festivities- we had a delicious dinner at Del Frisco’s and opened presents on Saturday night. The next day we headed up to Asheville for some more fun. We did the candlelight tour at The Biltmore House and it was absolutely beautiful, especially with all the intricate decorations for Christmas. And who doesn’t love some free wine tasting? It’s hard to believe that someone actually lived in this place so long ago. If you’re thinking about visiting western NC, this is a must see!

That night was filled with a little surprise for Ryan. He thought we were spending the night at my grandma’s but I actually booked us a room at the Grove Park Inn (with a little help from mom of course, remember I’m unemployed). This was her Christmas present to the both of us/ another anniversary celebration. He had heard of the hotel but had no idea what it was like and he was so surprised! It was all decorated for Christmas and had gingerbread contest winners placed all throughout the resort. Also to my surprise, a friend from high school upgraded our room AND we got access to the spa (so that was a surprise for the both of us!). We also ran into some friends and had breakfast together.. small world. Even though I’m from the area, sometimes I forget how beautiful the Asheville mountains are. We can’t wait to go back!
