I’m not gonna lie, it’s been a hot minute since I’ve worn a romper. They’re not Ryan’s favorite, so I’ll usually opt for a dress instead. Side note: one of my girlfriends had a guy tell her that rompers look like a trash bag, how funny is that?! Anyway, I recently won a gift card to The Mint Julep Boutique and this striped romper caught my eye so I decided to get it for our trip to St. Maarten.
Weekend Snaps
Friday
Fridays are great because I only work a half day (score!). I was able to get some patient logging done that afternoon (which will be the death of me) and go for a run before heading to the Knights baseball game that night. We went out for our friend Randy’s birthday and even though we barely watched the game- let’s be honest, most of us just go for the social aspect- we still had a blast. The stadium has a fireworks show every Friday night and they are pretty darn impressive!
Saturday
I spent most of the morning getting some R&R at the pool with Joey. Ryan and I later made the most delicious salmon meal with honeydew-cucumber salsa… it still amazes me that I actually like cooking when it comes to HelloFresh! If you haven’t already tried this meal delivery service, you should. Use code JBAS4K to get $40 off your first box!
That night, Ryan, Randy and I went to see Entourage. I had never watched the series but Adrian Grenier is sort of gorgeous and I love a good comedy- plus I’m always up for the movies. It was pretty funny- definitely more of a guy movie but I was thoroughly entertained. It also got me excited for all the summer movies coming up- can’t wait for Ted 2, Magic Mike and Jurassic World!!
Sunday
Sundays are meant to be lazy days, right? We bummed around for the morning and later I worked on a magazine piece while Ryan cleaned the condo (isn’t he the best?). We squeezed in a workout and then he took me out for a surprise dinner to Dressler’s!! I hadn’t been there in years but I already want to go back ASAP. They have THE most amazing crab dip and luckily we showed up right after the massive downpour. Then I proceeded to fall asleep several times while writing this blog post- I was so full!
How was everyone’s weekend? Here’s to hoping this Monday goes buy super quickly… who’s excited for the Bachelorette tonight?!
St. Maarten Vacay: Part 2
As you can tell, Ryan and I love our share of activities and kept ourselves busy exploring the island. Let’s jump right in to part 2 of the vacay recap! Read part 1 here.
Tasseled
Hi friends, I hope everyone is having a good morning so far! Today I’m sharing one of my favorite looks from vacation. I wore this on our last night for a sunset dinner cruise, which was the perfect ending to our vacation. This red v-neck cami is a new favorite- easy to dress up or down and it comes in a ton of colors. Note: it does cut down pretty low on the back and sides so I wear mine with the NuBra (best sticky bra out there!).
I paired it with my white skinnies and my new favorite piece of jewelry- this adorable tassel necklace! Seriously, how perfect is it for summer? I love the turquoise and gold combo and you can be assured it will be on repeat all summer long! Since I wore a plain top, I decided to throw on a few more jewels like this black double ring and gold Gorjana cuff (thanks to my friend Lindsay for letting me steal them for the week!). Accessories are a girl’s best friend 🙂
Topshop tank // tassel necklace (only $22) // Gap white skinnies // Kendra Scott ring
Gorjana “Isla” cuff // clutch, old (similar) // similar wedges // Kate Spade sunnies

St. Maarten Vacay: Part 1
Hi y’all… I’m back!! I feel like I haven’t blogged in forever, but it was nice having a little break and I want to give a big thanks to my guest bloggers Katie, Meghan, and Ashley for their posts last week! St. Maarten was ahhh-mazing- such a beautiful island with a ton of things to do. The week-long break from school could not have been any better, but today I’m back at it starting my 8th rotation, orthopedics! I’m excited to share the highlights of our trip with y’all so prepare for photo overload… don’t say I didn’t warn you!
