There are only a few weeks left until I will be buried under the books and I wanted one more little getaway, so off to Charleston we went! We got up bright and early and headed to Folly Beach , SC. We were trying to escape the dreary Charlotte weather so naturally the morning started off with some clouds, but it actually turned out to be a very nice day!

One of my favorite things about Charleston is the food, hands down. I love trying new restaurants and I must say eating is one of my favorite hobbies. We had dinner at Slightly North of Broad (aka S.N.O.B.) and it didn’t disappoint. Afterwards, we got some drinks at Wet Willies and the rooftop bar at the Market Pavilion hotel.
On Sunday, we just explored. We had brunch at High Cotton and I loved the southern charm of the interior. They have these bacon glazed donut holes that were sinfully good (I was a little hesitant but you MUST try them).
While at market, I made sure to pick up some of these coasters… I got some last year and think they are so fun! They are handmade and have pictures of all sorts of places around Charleston . This can be my new Chucktown tradition & it’s a great memento to have of the trip.
