Splurge vs. Steal: Fall Edition

Hi, friends and TGIF! I feel like this week has flown by and I don’t know about y’all, but the start of September has definitely got fall on the brain. I’m back and at it with a brand new list of steals and splurges for this season and trust me, you don’t want to miss these!

Being a girl on a budget (who should finally have a job in about 5 months), I do have to be conscious of what I spend. Some splurges are justifiable, but I’m all about finding a good deal. Or even better… telling Ryan that “it will pay for itself over time!” He loves that one. If I spend a lot of money on an item, you better believe it will get tons of use. I would rather spend $400 on a pair of riding boots that I could wear for years than $100 on a trendy top. It’s all about finding the balance.
Anyways, I thought I’d add a little fashion to your Friday. These are some of my favorite posts to write because I love to share on-trend pieces that can be found at an affordable price! Today I’ve got you covered with some great finds for the fall season- whether you want to spend a little or a lot. Some of these are almost identical!!
 

++ Valentino Rockstuds are everywhere (or so it seems), but for those of us who don’t want to drop a grand on a pair of heels, there are plenty of stylish alternatives. These studded heels from Nordstrom just arrived to my house and I cannot wait to rock them all fall (plus, they make your legs look amazing!).

++ Remember this fabulous Kate Spade backless bow dress? Snatch up one of these Soprano versions from Nordstrom for a fraction of the cost. Ps. They come in 5 colors!
++ I didn’t get my first (faux) fur vest until last year, but I quickly became a fan. I love this luxe cream colored vest from Topshop and this one from Forever 21 is a steal at $38!
++ If you’re looking for a peep-toe bootie (or shooties if you prefer), these Simply Vera Wang heels are almost identical to the Vince “Addie” sandals. Of course, you won’t get real leather but at that $37 price tag, who cares?!
++ Bucket bags are everywhere and you could definitely invest in this Tory Burch version (the leather is top notch) or save some cash and pick up this fringe bucket bag from Target. It even has a cute striped interior!
++ You probably already know this, but I’m obsessed with Gorjana jewelry. The light and dainty pieces are perfect for layering and I especially love their cuffs. Get the look of the Elea cuff for only $34 with this bracelet from BaubleBar.
++ Ahh, the Burberry quilted jacket. It has been on my wish list for quite some time now but I almost love this J.Crew version just as much.
++ Fall = plaid. We all know this. This BB Dakota plaid dress would be super cute with some booties, but so would this $25 find from Forever 21.
++ Last but not least, neutral booties. If these don’t scream fall, I don’t know what does. If you love these Vince Camuto ankle boots but not their price tag, grab a pair of these at Target for literally 1/6 of the cost!

Who else is looking forward to this long weekend?!? Ryan was lucky and got some buddy passes so he’s taking a spur of the moment trip to visit our friends in San Francisco. Andddd… I’m having FOMO already! I don’t have any major plans other than shopping for an engagement shoot outfit and hopefully going to the beach… and studying of course. I hope everyone enjoys their Labor Day weekend 🙂

    Wow….so many great finds! I like that fur vest. I've seen others' fur vests in blog world and some of them look REALLY nasty. Love the one that you found tho! Thanks for all of the great finds!!

    So many great finds!! I had that Burberry jacket and it fell apart. It is so cheaply made now. I would never buy another one again. I prefer the Barbour one. It's made so much better.
