One of the things I love most about Charlotte is that it’s such a fast growing city and it feels like there’s something new opening up every other day. A few weeks ago I attended a blogger event at The Candle Bar, a candle pouring experience new to Charlotte and today I’m giving you all the scoop!
The Candle Bar Experience
I had walked by The Candle Bar location in South End a few times and thought it looked super cute inside so you bet I was excited for this event. What’s a better girls night than making yummy smelling candles with a glass of rosé in your hand?
Anyone can walk in and purchase a premade candle or you can opt for the candle pouring for a more interactive experience ($35/person). There are TONS of vessels to choose from and I love that they can all be repurposed once the candle has burned down. Some work best as planters and some as vanity containers for your bathroom. I went with the iridescent “glow” vessel which is the largest one and has 3 wicks.
After choosing your vessel, you are taken to the scent room where you can make the extremely hard decision on what scent to put in your candle. You can choose from spice, woody, sweet or fresh. I went with sea salt & sage, one of their most popular scents and it smells oh so fresh. After creating your candle, it takes a few hours to harden so you can either pick it up from the store or if you’re traveling, they can ship it to your home for only $8.
And don’t forget to BYOB! This location is actually the pop-up in Charlotte and they’ll be moving to a larger space down the street this summer which will have a lounge area and a bar inside. Whether it’s a girls night, birthday celebration or date night (they have manly scents too), The Candle Bar is such a fun experience and I know I’ll definitely be back for my candle fix!
