Tybee Island Bachelorette Recap

This weekend, 11 of us girls headed down to Georgia for our friend Ashton’s bachelorette party (woohoo!). I’ve known Ashton since my sophomore year of college. She rushed ZTA when she was a freshman and we ended up having the same “big sister” and since then have always called each other “twinnie.” She is getting married in 3 short weeks and I can’t wait to celebrate (with my hot new hubby as my date, of course!). This was my first time to Savannah and my first time going out of town since our honeymoon so this weekend was much needed.


Our house was pretty amazing. 6 bedrooms, 5 baths, an elevator, ocean views and a killer fireplace made out of seashells. It was the perfect place for us girls and was super convenient to everything on Tybee.

On Friday, we got an early start and were able to squeeze in an extra beach day. That night we went to a local restaurant for dinner (Tybee Island Social Club). Sounds fancy but actually super casual… amazing mojitos and tacos, though! After that we explored some local bars. One thing that stood out as soon as I stepped into one was… smoke! We are very lucky to have laws that ban smoking indoors here in NC but apparently Georgia hasn’t gotten the memo. We had so much fun though- Rock House was probably our favorite stop of the night. Tons of old school jams and dancing, it was a blast!


On Saturday we woke up, had coffee, recapped the night’s events, and went to lunch at Stingray’s– a local seafood joint. I loved that our house was walkable to everything in Tybee. Convenience is key! We spent a majority of the day at the beach and it was pretty toasty out there, but so beautiful! 


Saturday night we got ready, donned our black dresses and headed into Savannah. We had dinner at Savannah River House and then made our way to Club One for a drag show which was quite entertaining and of course Ashton got up on stage. The fun thing about bachelorette parties is mixing up different friend groups and meeting new people. We had a good crew this weekend and I’ll definitely be missing the beach!

Two bachelorette parties down and one to go this year. I had a great time at the beach and now I’ll be counting down the days until Labor Day weekend when we fly to Miami for my friend Logan’s bachelorette party. Wedding season is in full swing and I’m loving every minute of it!
