My Bachelorette Party in Vegas!!

I’m baaaack!!! Did y’all miss me? Last week was complete craziness so this update is a little past due but… life happens. I’m SO excited to share my bachelorette weekend with y’all. Six of my girlfriends and I flew out west to the one and only LAS VEGAS and I can now cross that one off the bucket list!! We packed a lot into the two days we were there and had an absolute blast. My girls totally spoiled me and I only spent $30 the whole weekend. I’d call that a success! Now, let’s get right into the recap.

Four of us got in pretty early on Friday so we dropped off our bags and did a little exploring. We walked the strip which I discovered is full of escalators, bridges and walkways. It’s the weirdest thing! Our first stop was the rollercoaster on top of New York, New York– highly recommend! After getting our afternoon thrills, we continued with the NY theme by having lunch at Shake Shack. Oh, and let me just say that the weather was absolutely amazing. Mid-70s to 80s with a slight breeze and no humidity. It was heaven.
We stayed at Aria which was the perfect location for everything we wanted to do. Thanks to my friend Katie who got us a hookup with connecting rooms and a suite- it was amazing! The hotels there really are massive- so much to do but oddly enough, we didn’t spend any time in a casino.
After everyone arrived we spent some time catching up and then got ready for our first night out. We had a little lingerie shower (lots of pretty goodies!) and played a fun little game to see how well Ryan & I know each other. Then it was off to TAO for dinner- such a fun place! Earlier that day we saw that Calvin Harris was going to be at Omnia at Cesar’s Palace so that was our last stop of the night. Let me just say that I rarely “club” but… when in Vegas, right?

On Saturday we had the most amazing brunch at Herringbone at our hotel. This consisted of the picture perfect patio overlooking one of the pools complete with delicious bites and bottomless bellinis. Seriously, it was gorgeous. After that, we made our way to the pool party at Liquid Lounge (which may have been my favorite part of the whole trip!). We ended up meeting a nice group of guys who invited us to their cabana/private pool and they kept the beverages flowing all day long. Can’t complain!

After the pool it was time to get ready yet again and we had to make a pit stop at The Chandelier bar at The Cosmopolitan. Sparkly things… everywhere. We walked the strip and were hoping to catch the fountain show at The Bellagio, but sadly missed it… twice!

We had a quick dinner at Searsucker at Cesar’s before catching our show, Absinthe. And y’all… It was AMAZING! Is an “acro-cabaret” variety show complete with comedy, lots of profanity, and some c-r-a-z-y acts. It was held in a big tent with circular rows of mismatched fold-up chairs, super funky inside. I really didn’t know what to expect but I loved it and am ready to get back out there and see more shows ASAP!

After the show, we met back up with some of the guys from the pool. They were gracious enough to come pick us up in a LIMO complete with bottles of Veuve. I mean, does it get any more Vegas than that?? The only thing that was missing was a sunroof to pop out of but don’t worry, I just hung out the window! After that we hopped to two more clubs before calling it a night. Make that… morning.


So basically, Vegas was a blast! Even though me and my girlfriends hardly “go out” these days, we powered through and lasted until about 4am both nights and I probably got 10 hours of sleep the time I was there. I’m glad I got to experience the wild side of Vegas but I’d definitely want to come back with Ryan to do some more exploring and see more shows- I already have like 5 on my list!

In other news, I celebrated my 27th birthday yesterday! I kept it low-key this year because we’ve had so much going on. A nice sushi dinner on Saturday night and a Mexican lunch yesterday. The wedding countdown is officially at 26 days (yes, really!) and things are finally coming together. I’m starting to get super excited and anxious but trying to find ways to stay calm and relaxed.     WOOHOO, y'all did Vegas up right and I"m so glad you had a great time. I enjoyed seeing snippets while you were there. Isn't the food amazing? We love trying new places every time we go [yearly the past six years] will have to try some of the spots you mentioned. You looked AMAZING btw! Happy birthday, from a fellow birthday girl!

    Sounds like such a fabulous trip, there's nothing like partying in Vegas with the girls! Bottomless bellinis, limos, VIP tables at the club, and day time pool parties are exactly the way to do it! Enjoy the last few weeks of your engagement, can't believe your big day is almost here 😀

    What a fun bachelorette weekend! Looks like you guys had an absolute blast! Loved all of your outfits and as far as the wedding goes. Just remember that it's about you and Ryan, no one else. The important part is your getting married, forget about the details! No one is going to remember if they didn't get a program, or what color the flowers are, they're all just going to remember how they felt and how gorgeous you are! So try not to sweat the small stuff and if you can have someone helping out the day of…so you can relax and just get ready and show up!

    What a fun trip!! I went to Vegas last May for my friends bachelorette party and even though I had been a few times before that, there's nothing like celebrating a bachelorette in Vegas. It looks like you guys definitely did pack in a whole lot in 2 short days. I can't wait to go back and watch more of the shows…I recently heard Backstreet Boys are starting up there and I am way too excited for that!

    Vegas looked amazing!!! and Happy birthday!

    I found it relaxing to schedule one on one time with my fiance, to make sure we were on the same page and doing normal date-night things together.
