Santa came!! I had been looking forward to the moment Porter would meet Santa for quite a while (crazy Christmas lady over here) and we had the best day meeting jolly old St. Nick.
We kept our gathering small with a few families and even had a hot cocoa bar. We’ve never done the mall Santa thing and I wasn’t sure if that would even happen this year so I hired Santa back in the fall just in case. I think this will become a new tradition for us because it was such a hit! All the kids had plenty of time to sit with Santa and take photos and it just felt like a much more personal experience. Lately Porter has had some episodes of “stranger danger” when he sees someone new and will bury his head in my shoulder or even cry a little so I was unsure if he’d like Santa. He didn’t end up being scared at all and was such an angel and gave us lots of sweet smiles!
