You know that interview question, the one where they ask your greatest weakness?? Mine would be my indecisiveness. Thankfully I’ve never been asked that… But we all have our flaws. Ever since I got engaged, I didn’t think I’d have a problem deciding on bridesmaid dresses. I knew I wanted long mint dresses, pretty simple right?
Then came a few questions…
What material do I want, chiffon or tulle?
Do I want a minty-mint, or a muted mint? Or sage?
Wait, what about other colors? Maybe gold or a neutral?
Do I want them all the same, or mix and match colors? Or maybe the necklines?
Do I want them all the same, or mix and match colors? Or maybe the necklines?
Do I want the girls to have the same neckline as me or different?
Strapless? One-shoulder? Illusion neckline? Straps?
You could say I overanalyze sometimes.
I wanted my bridesmaids to go shopping with me and try on some dresses- getting a good perspective is important to me since online photos can be so deceiving. But with that can come lots of opinions, but ultimately it is all up to the bride. I’m telling you, there’s nothing more frustrating than finding a style that you love, but it doesn’t come in the color you’re envisioning. Or vice versa. #brideproblems
So as of now in this crazy journey of wedding planning, my main item to check off the giant to-do list is deciding on these dresses. I feel like knowing the exact color will help me figure out other details like linens and flowers. There are so many choices out there, but here are some of the current frontrunners!
At least I don’t have to worry about shoes, right??
Ps. A big congratulations to Kate of Sara Kate Styling for winning the Kate Spade giveaway. I hope you love your watch and I’ll be emailing you later!!

Oh my goodness I was right with ya girl! But ultimately I decided to let my girls pick out their dress…but they did have a few limitations. I wanted them to all be the same color – I am going with navy and believe it or not there are just as many different variations of navy as mint! So with making sure they had the same exact color navy I wanted them to all have the same designer. We went with Bill Levkoff. Next thing on the list they had to all have was the same material. We went with Chiffon. Finally they all had to be long. All but 3 of my bridesmaids came with me to go look and thankfully they all found a dress that had all those items I wanted them to have. When we first went looking I wasn't too concerned about all having he same designer but when we got there and saw that some navy colors were different I made that a priority as well. Letting them pick their own style dress was probably the best decision I made because they all picked such different styles. Also all the girls have all different body types and I wanted to make sure they felt comfortable in their dress. Luckily it all worked out and their dresses all should be here sometime this month! Good luck with everything!

Gorgeous dresses! I had the same issue. I just told my bridesmaids "go shopping. the dress has to be navy blue. find something that complements your body type". Little did I know that they found an amazing dress, by the same designer as my gown nonetheless. With 4 girls who all had different body types, I just needed them to be happy. I think they were!

I love number 5! Can you get them all in one color and let your bridesmaids pick out the style? that would be easier on you for decision making at least.

I love the flowy-ness of these dresses. I'm sure you'll end up with the perfect one, too. Can't go wrong with mint!

picking bridesmaids dresses was much more difficult than I expected. In the end every girl had a mint chiffon short dress in different styles. It turned out really well!

All those dresses are gorgeous picks! I especially love the strapless and one shoulder ones!
I went back and forth on the BM dresses until they absolutely had to be ordered, so I totally feel your pain 😉

This was definitely such a hard decision for me! Not sure if you've planned your shopping location yet, but I loved David's Bridal and that everything there would match all of the tux colors at Men's Wearhouse. Thanks for linking up with us this week.

Picking out a bridesmaid dress was SO hard for me.. I just ended up letting my sister pick out her own haha. Can't wait to see what you choose =)

These are all great! I didn't have bridesmaids dresses, but I always like it when they wear the same color, but have different cuts (like what works best for each of them). I'm sure whatever you pick will be gorgeous!

I have never been a bridesmaid, but I like when the bride lets the maids choose what cut they like, with everyone in the same color. I have a 38-C chest and strapless dresses make me uncomfortable – I hope nobody ever asks me to wear one!

Cute dresses.
I avoided all the drama by giving the girls a color and length and had them find a dress to fit their body. I had a sea of different grays and it turned out fabulous. Just an idea.

The bridesmaid's dress struggle is so, so real. I know you'll pick something perfect though! Your frontrunners are perfection, especially the lilac one- the cut, the color, the material… Perfection.
