Weekend in Naples

Hellooo, Monday! After finishing my dreadful test last Thursday, Ryan & I flew out to Naples, Florida for the weekend. It was a blissful 80 degrees and I was loving it. Not like it gets that cold here in Charlotte, but a little sun in the middle of January is always a good idea. Here’s a little look into my weekend! (And yes we’re extremely pale.. but y’all know how that first day at the beach is). 

Friday morning it was a little cloudy so we had a big breakfast and went to some shops. We had lunch at Caffe Milano on 5th Avenue where I had a delicious goat cheese pizza. And how cute is the decor inside?! The sun made its way out during lunch so after that we booked it to the beach. For dinner, we stayed in and ate a delicious king crab dinner made by Ryan’s parents. And I loveeee me some crab legs.


Saturday we got up, ran to a few stores, and then did what we came there to do… spent most of the day on the beach! Thank goodness we had awesome weather that day and it was just the relaxation that we needed.

That night we got dressed up and headed to dinner at Roy’s, a Hawaiian fusion restaurant that is hands down our favorite place to visit in Naples. I’ve raved about it before and I’ll rave about it again, the butterfish is one of the most amazing things I’ve ever tasted. I don’t even look at the rest of the menu- that’s how good it is. 

Ryan & I had planned to go for a long walk and do some more exploring Sunday before our flight, but we woke up to a downpour. What’s even better? As I was walking to the porch to look outside, I walked straight into the sliding glass door. Just like one of those Windex commercials with the crows… you should’ve seen it. Such a klutz! 

Overall it was a great, low-key trip and we got to squeeze some beach time and family time. As far as this week, I have some fun things to look forward to such as Bachelor night with some friends of ours (they’re cooking!), meeting with my stationier to design invitations, and shopping for a MOB dress with my momma. Another thing to look forward to… sunshine all week here in the QC! Have a great Monday, y’all!

    So glad you had a wonderful weekend after that yucky test. A getaway is the perfect way to recharge, right? Love your hat, I have one similar in pink, go figure ;)! The food looks so delicious, I love me some crab legs toO!

    Sounds like a great time! I live a few hours from Naples but have never been. It has a reputation of being a place for the elderly but I might need to rethink and take a trip!

    Love all the Photos! Your outfits and bathing suits are adorable. I live in florida and one of my favorite places to visit for a little mini vacation is Naples. It's such a nice quiet little oasis! I'm glad you had fun! It looked like such a relaxing weekend ♥

    Such a great little getaway! I didn't even realize that Naples has a Roy's – there is one in Chicago, too and we were obsessed with it!! It was so hard not to go every weekend! Cheers to a week of sunshine and wedding fun!
