Good morning, friends! I’ve got a case of the Mondays but at least I can say I got another great birthday weekend in the books! I’m back at school just for today so I can take my dreaded end-of-rotation test (wish me luck!) and then I’ll be heading back to Charlotte on the train tonight to finish off my last week of family medicine! Let’s jump right into the weekend recap, shall we?
Friday night, I went to dinner at Dogwood with the girls- it’s a new Southern restaurant in South Park and their shrimp & grits did not disappoint! My roommate Sarah came up to visit for the weekend and brought the cutest little party hats for us to wear, aren’t they adorable?? Nothing beats getting together with my group of girls- they always know how to make a birthday special! Anyways, after dinner we continued the celebration at Ten Park Lanes for some bowling. It has been forever since I’ve bowled (and I kinda suck) but it was a great time none the less.

Since Sarah and I had that dreaded test today, we spent most of the day Saturday studying by the pool… and got a little burnt in the process. Whoops! That night we met my friend Aaron at Sycamore Brewery in South End for some brews and food truck eats. I haven’t seen him in a few months and it was so good to catch up (plus I had their apricot beer and it was delicious!). On Sunday, we spent the morning at 7th Street Market doing some more studying. Is it time to graduate yet?!? I’m thinking I should start an official countdown.
