Hi, friends!! I cannot believe another year has come and gone. It’s no secret that I’ve neglected this little blog of mine this past year. I feel like I can barely keep up with Instagram and two toddlers certainly keep me busy, but I’m setting a goal to be more present on this space next year. This year was pretty great to us so I thought I’d share some of our highlights from each month. We are very excited for what 2024 will bring and wish each of you a happy new year!
JANUARY
We spent a lot of time cozying up in pajamas and visited the new Museum of Illusions in uptown Charlotte.
FEBRUARY
Took our annual trip to Naples, Florida (in matching family swim!) and celebrated Porter’s 3rd birthday, construction-style.
MARCH
I went on my annual ski trip to Park City, Utah and Porter started his first sport, soccer shots!
APRIL
We celebrated Easter, took our spring family photos and I celebrated my 34th birthday with a few of my close friends.
MAY
We went on a couples trip to Tulum, Mexico (see my full travel guide here) and celebrated Mother’s Day.
JUNE
We enjoyed outdoor concerts and went to a Baywatch themed pool party.
JULY
We got in lots of pool time, rocked our red, white & blue for the 4th and took a family beach trip to Hilton Head, SC.
AUGUST
This month was filled with lots of travel. First a quick girls trip to Pensacola, Florida to celebrate my friend Lindsay’s baby shower. There was much needed girl time and beach time. The following week Ryan & I met our friends Kyle & Sarah for a fun few days in New York City! We hand’t been since our baby moon when I was pregnant with Porter so it was great to be back in the city.
SEPTEMBER
Porter & Blair started preschool, we celebrated Blair’s 2nd birthday (TWO sweet themed) and they went to their first Disney on Ice show! We also finally completed our dining room, so happy with how it turned out.
OCTOBER
My favorite month packed with lots of activities. We took our fall family photos, visited the pumpkin patch and spent a weekend in our favorite mountain town, Blowing Rock. For Halloween we dressed up as a pirate family, so much fun!
NOVEMBER
We hosted our 9th annual Friendsgiving and I traveled to Raleigh for one of my best friends baby shower.
DECEMBER
Nothing beats the holidays! We had our annual visit from Santa, rode on the Polar Express, went to Carowinds Winterfest and celebrated Christmas with our family. We also build the Home Alone lego house which was a fun project for the entire family. It was a great ending to 2023!
